Cross-border trade, recycled

Our resources arm pairs mining-linked positions in Nigeria and Niger Republic with import flows built around environmental-recycling material from Asia. It is a less obvious trade than a straight commodity export, and that is part of the appeal.

The cash-conversion cycle is shorter than a mine's, the margins are less exposed to a single commodity price, and the relationships — built through our WangRong partnership — give us a structural advantage that is difficult for a pure trading house to replicate.

This note explains the offtake mechanics and why we think of this as a trading business with a resources hedge, not the other way around.
